会当凌绝顶，一览众山小。

【评比标准】：“诗无达诂”，“译无定法”。本次翻译比赛向投票评委提供的评比标准是“信达雅+评者个人喜好”，根据6名英语为母语（或接近母语）的外籍人士和4位中方评委的投票决定比赛名次。
【投票过程】：本次比赛共收到参赛译文95版。其中6版，未注明译者信息。视为无效译文，未提交评选。参赛译文89版，按译者提交的时间顺序编排序号，将译者姓名及单位隐去，分别发给10位中外评委征集投票。每位评委根据组委会提供的标准先对所有译文进行阅读、筛选，然后把自己中意的译文按Excellent (A档), Very Good (B档)和Good (C档)分类后提交回组委会。
【计票方式】：中方评委投票标记为“中ABC”，外籍评委投票标记为“外ABC”。C档译文记1分，B档译文记2分，A档译文记3分。本次比赛设特、一、二、三等奖。根据参赛人数（部分参考得分），确定一等奖10人（14-21分），二等奖29人（9-13分），三等奖36人（6-8分）。

There stands the majestic Mount Tai
Its blue summit reaches even to the sky
Mother Earth graces it with endless beauty
Sunshine and shade have their moments clearly
My spirits are purified with the clouds ascending
My eyes are feasted with the birds returning
I will be atop the highest peak conquered by few
To proudly enjoy the magnificent bird’s-eye view

02.Beholding Mount Tai
Oh, Mount Tai, so imposing in your majestic blue,
While extending endlessly beyond the land of Qi and Lu.
Such a divine creation, splendid and sacred,
Dawn and dusk divide the south and north ridges.
My heart is thrilled by the cloud layers rising high,?
Homebound birds are seen approaching from the sky.?
Resolved, I will ascend to the mountain top,
Just to witness how all others are being dwarfed.

03. Gaze On Mountain Tai
O, what an amazing view of Mountain Tai!
Across north and south, everywhere is in green dye.
All we can see are the superb masterpieces of nature,
Shadow and light are seemingly divided as dawn and dusk there.
Wisps of drifting clouds make me feel so nice,
A flock of returning birds catches my eyes.
Only when climbing to the highest peak,
Can you see all other mountains lie low under your feet.

Oh, Mount Tai! the mount of mounts towering high!
How to tell its majesty in my eye？
A sea of green stretches far beyond sight.?
A splendid wonder by Nature’s magical might,
Displays a distinct view of shade and light.?
Rising clouds stir my aspirations high,
Flocks of birds back catch my lingering eye.?
I vow to climb th’ mount someday and stand on its peak,
Looking down at hills low and small under my feet.?

The rushing clouds I embrace,

One day I’ll climb to the top after all,
All the other mounts will look so small.

How magnificent is Mountain Tai

One day on your summit I shall stand,
With one glance, dwarfs of hills to command.

07.Gazing into Mount Tai
Oh magnificent Mount Tai, how sublime thou art,
With boundless verdure overspreading Qi and Lu!
A heavenly masterpiece and splendor thou were made,
As thy north and south determines light and shade.
Towering into the clouds thy raise my aspirations,
Flocks of returning birds fill my vision.
One day I shall surmount thy highest crest,?
and see every peak bend over to my feet.

08.Gazing Up at Mount Tai?
O, how magnificent, how majestic?
is Mount Tai, the most sacred of all!?
Just look at the endless stretch of greenery?
across Shandong and you shudder to tell:
The Creator fancies in what He creates
nothing short of a miracle of divine beauty:
The pinnacle dawn from dusk separates
as its sunny side from its shady.
Now a breath-taking spectacle of billowing clouds
engages my awe-inspired mind;
Now a wondrous flock of homing birds
bursts into my straining eye.
I promise to get to the top to see it all,?
where, at a single view,

Oh Mt. Tai, what beauty on earth do you bear?
Stretch from Qi to Lu the endless greens you often share.
Lying in the cradle of Nature’s wonder,
Dark in the north but bright in the south, you carry the one-of-a-kind glamour.
The rising wavy clouds activate my down-deep sensations;
I strain my eyes to obtain a panorama of home-bound birds in the mountains.
I’ll stand on your towering summit one day,
where I could devour the beauty around on display.

10. Mount Taishan – Mountain of the Mountains
What does Mount Taishan look like??
There it is, –?
A vast stretch of green?
Marking the kingdoms of Qi and Lu apart.
An ensemble of nature’s blessings it is,
Soaring high into the sky, and
Cutting the cosmos into two parts,
The bright for dawn and the dark for dusk.
In its bosom are moving fleets of clouds;
Into its depth are flying armies of birds.
Enchanted by this splendid sight,
I’m resolved to climb to the top,?
To overlook every mountain far and beyond.
